Hi, my name is Lillie and I am here
to find out more about how Alfa Laval
can help accelerate the transition
to a more sustainable future.
Joining me now is Mark Kirby,
the general manager
for our printed circuit heat exchangers
here at Alfa Laval.
In the global race to tackle
climate change, it is important
that we move away from fossil fuels
to cleaner, more sustainable solutions.
So, Mark, what challenges do we face
when we try to make this a reality?
Hi Lillie, great question.
The challenges of reaching
net zero are speed
and how products can be released
into existing infrastructures.
We have discovered the technologies,
but we need to make them easy to use
so that it can be taken
up on a meaningful scale.
Take hydrogen for refuelling vehicles,
as an example, it is a fairly new
technology used across the world
so we have been focusing on how our
printed circuit heat exchanger
can help make it more
mainstream in the future.
So, what is it about PCHE technology
that will help make hydrogen
more readily available in vehicles?
Well, we took our inspiration
from hydrogen in its chemical form
as it is the lightest, most energetic
element on the periodic table.
We have made a product to match.
Our new HyBloc™ is small,
modular, scalable
and can fit into existing
pump delivery systems.
So it is easy for our customers
to make the switch.
This new level of accessibility
will play a huge role
in accelerating the transition to clean
hydrogen in vehicles all over the world.
Thanks Mark.
Here is Darly Yu to tell us more.
My name is Darly Yu, and I work as
technical manager for
HyBloc™ at Alfa Laval.
Today, there are many PCHE manufacturers,
but Alfa Laval is the most trusted
and we have our robust design
and high heat transfer rate to thank.
Our units are 85%
smaller and lighter than traditional
shell-and-tube alternatives
and we have 15 years of proven
performance to back them up!
With the launch of our
new HyBloc™ range we can serve
many more tough process duties
in the hydrogen industry.
This includes applications
with pressure demands
of up to 1250 bar and temperatures
ranging from cryogenic duties -196°C
to 800°C
when using our latest
OptiBond™ diffusion welding technology.
So, choose HyBloc™ to boost
productivity and save the planet.
I am here with Mark at one of
our refuelling stations
to share a little bit more about the
benefits of switching to HyBloc™.
HyBloc™ has almost to hit the highest
market share for Hydrogen
Refuelling Station and is currently
delivering to Germany
France, US and South Korea!
So we are already minimizing
installation costs
for our customers
all over the world.
Plus, HyBloc™ also gives
higher back-to-back throughput
with improved profitability.
The low thermal mass in a highly
responsive and compact solution
enables a greater capacity and reduced
wait time between customers.
Extending the number of daily
back-to-back refules.
If you want a partner
that you can trust
our global network of local experts
have over 15 years experience.
We are here to help you improve your long
term sustainability processes.
This is HyBloc™.
Thank you, both.
It is wonderful to see how Alfa Laval
can help customers transition
to cleaner solutions by making them more
accessible and easier to use.
